Mrs. San Agustin, Upi Principal
Mrs. Beverly San Agustin is a long time educator on Guam. She taught history and government in our high schools before being named Guam's Teacher of the Year in 2001. Mrs. San Agustin has administrative experience working as an assistant principal at Simon Sanchez High School here in Yigo. Upi's principal has many aspirations and goals for our school. She was instrumental in guiding Upi's staff and faculty to receiving six-year fully accredited status in 2011! Collaboration between all stakeholders is paramount in her vision for improving achievement with our SAT 10 scores.
Together with Ms. Ceria, our assistant principal, Mrs. San Agustin will strive to promote Upi students' many talents and accomplishments to our community.

Ms. Ceria, Upi Asst. Principal
Jonalyn Ceria received her Bachelor's degree in Secondary General Science and Biology at the University of Guam. She received her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Post Master's degree in Administration and Supervision at the University of Portland, Oregon. She has experience in elementary, middle and high school level. She taught biology and physical science in middle and high school for five years and two years as a school administrator. She has attended and presented at numerous conferences and professional development workshops in Guam, Hawaii, Palau and California.
In her years of teaching experience, she has also received recognition for being an exemplary educator, teacher of the year and excellence in teacher leadership which is indicative of her passion in teaching and learning. Her expertise includes curriculum alignment, technological assessment tools, teacher mentorship and advisorship and implementing critical thinking skills into instructional strategies.
As an instructional school leader, she believes teachers must critically reflect and examine their instructional approaches and utilize achievement data to be accountable for their role in improving student achievement.
